Are you able to make custom cookie orders?

Yes!  We ask that you give at least 2-weeks notice for custom orders.  Many cookiers are booked months out so the more notice, the better!

Is it ok to send examples of pictures of cookies we like?  

Absolutely!  If you have pictures of cookies you've found online (Pinterest, Instagram, etc) we would love to see them!  Inspo pics allow us to better design your cookies to your theme.

Will my cookies look exactly like the pictures I send?

While examples and reference pictures are welcome, we do not replicate cookies.  Design details and color preferences are taken into account, but having creative liberty is part of the fun of making cookies!

What are the ingredients of the cookies?

Our cookies are baked with:  flour, unsalted butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla emulsions. baking powder and salt.

The royal icing we use is made with:  meringue powder, vanilla extract, water, powdered sugar, and a little bit of corn syrup.  

Do you offer a gluten-free option?

We do offer a gluten-free option, however, there is an upcharge due to supply cost ($90/dozen).

Do you make any vegan items?

Unfortunately, we do not offer vegan items at this time.

How do I pay for my order?

We will send you an invoice via email that can be paid by credit card.  We also accept Venmo (@makindoughcookieco), as well as cash or check.  A 50% deposit is required at the time of ordering to secure your cookies on our calendar.  The remaining 50% is due by pick-up.

Is there a minimum order requirement?

Our minimum order amount is 1 dozen.

When should I plan to order?

All orders are welcome - big and small - but everything we bake is made to order.  Because our baking schedule fills up weeks in advance, we request that custom orders are submitted at least 3 weeks or more in advance of your need-by date.  Feel free to reach out with any special requests or advance orders!

Help!  I'm a procrastinator and need cookies for my event in a couple days!  Do you have any availability?

The process of designing cookies is quite lengthy.  While we hate to turn down orders, we are typically booked at least one month out.  Please feel free to reach out, but we cannot guarantee availability.

How are cookies packaged?

Cookies are individually heat sealed to keep them fresh.

How do I pick up my order?

From our experience, most clients prefer to pick up their orders the day before their event.  Please be sure to communicate your event date and need-by date.  We will be in touch with you to coordinate a pick up time prior to your event.  Pick-up times will be determined closer to the event date due coordinating multiple orders.

Do you ship?

We do not offer shipping at this time; local pick up only.  However,  you have a special circumstance, please reach out and we may be able to accommodate.

How do I store my cookies?

Great question!  The best way to store your cookies is at room temperature. 


PLEASE DO NOT:

  • Do not stack anything on top of your cookie boxes.  They can be very fragile - icing is prone to crack and cookies can break easily.  

  • Refrigerate or freeze cookies
